The Luther is a beautiful cigar! The double wrapper or "barber pole" combines a mild Connecticut Shade with a dark San Andres Maduro wrapper. Cuban seeded binder and fillers from Dominican Republic make this a smooth but flavorful cigar.
Martin Luther was a German monk credited with starting the Protestant Reformation in 1517 when he famously nailed his 95 thesis to the door of the church in Wittenburg. Luther argued that the church needed to be reformed with Scripture as the ultimate authority. He is also known for writing a letter teaching his barber to pray entitled, A Simple Way to Pray.

B.B. Warfield was a great American theologian at the turn of the century. He was a professor of Reformed Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary from 1887 to 1921 where he distinguished himself as a mighty champion of the Reformed faith. Much of his works centered around defending the Bible's divine inspiration against the growing incluence of modernist theology that denied it.

There are certain combinations of tobacco leaves and blends that have changed little, if at all, for hundreds of years. For many people, the aroma of a good pipe or cigar brings back fond memories of a grandfather or other loved ones that have since gone home to glory. The partaking of tobacco has been a means of solo contemplation for some of the greatest thinkers in history as well as an anchor for fellowship among men through times of war and times of peace. This allows the modern man to connect with the past in a unique way.
This nostalgic essence of history and fellowship is what we seek to capture with Reform Tobacco Co. We honor the past by naming each series of our hand-rolled cigars after a champion of the faith from church history. We strive to make a high-quality, consistent product that can be enjoyed in moderation during times of celebration, over great conversation with a group of friends, or relaxing alone with a good book.
While smoking tobacco, like many other things, can be abused and lead to harmful patterns in a person’s life, we believe it can also be enjoyed rightly, in moderation while exercising self-control, to the glory of God.
